Abstract
We present a new type of single-mode fiber containing 11 radial layers surrounding the core of the fiber and having the same refractive index. The proposed fiber has low propagation losses with nearly zero residual chromatic dispersion for the spectral range of optical communication, and thus it may be a good candidate for transmission of information.
