Abstract
With the development of intelligent technology, intelligent tools are widely needed, and automatic following car comes into being in the field of transportation. This paper designs an automatic following car system based on MSP432 from the actual needs. The system is composed of two vehicles, the front car is the lead car, the rear car is the following car, with MSP432 as the control core, mainly composed of L298N drive module, ultrasonic module, Bluetooth module and tracking module four main modules. MSP432 MCU controls the L298N drive module to drive the motor by output PWM signal, and the motor adjusts the wheel speed to realize the car's straight running and steering. The tracking module innovatively uses the combination of infrared sensor and grayscale sensor to achieve accurate path navigation. The two cars use the Bluetooth module to maintain communication, and the ultrasonic module is equipped with real-time automatic ranging to maintain the distance between the two cars and prevent the collision of the two cars. The test car can drive at various speeds, the driving process is stable, there is no collision, and the parking position is accurate. The system can realize automatic following, overtaking, stopping and waiting. It has the advantages of timely response, strong anti-interference ability, simple operation, low cost and high scalability.
