1 March 2003 Beamsplitter testing using the photorefractive effect

A new technique is proposed to test beamsplitters using two-wave mixing in photorefractive crystal. The method uses the diffraction efficiency of two-wave mixing in Bi12TiO20 (bismuth titanium oxide). Detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis is given.
