Profile Summary

Dr. Jovana V. Milic is Assistant Professor and Group Leader at the Adolphe Merkle Institute of the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. She obtained her PhD in the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences of ETH Zurich in July 2017 and, since then, she has worked as postdoctoral researcher and scientist at the Laboratory of Photonics and Interfaces at EPFL. Her research is focused on the development of (supra)molecular materials for energy conversion, with a particular interest in photovoltaics. She has been recognized by a number of fellowships and awards, such as the CAS Future Leader and Element (Db) of the Periodic Table of Younger Chemists in 2019, Green Talent, and Swiss National Science Foundation PRIMA Fellow in 2020. In addition to research and international collaboration, she is invested in science outreach and policy as member of the European Young Chemists' Network (EYCN) and International Younger Chemists Network (IYCN), dedicated to connecting and supporting young scientists globally.
