Profile Summary

I am Kavya Hemantha Rao, interested to work in the area of ultrafast optics and its applications. After completing my Master's degree in Photonics from the International School of Photonics, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin, Kerala, India, I joined the Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia to pursue doctoral studies. I was awarded the doctoral degree in 2019 and my thesis is on using laser produced plasmas for high-order harmonic generation applications. Currently I work as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Radiation Physics and Electron Acceleration, Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) Beamlines, Czech Republic.
